Cellulite is caused by fat deposits pushing through the connective tissue beneath the skin, creating a dimpled appearance — a common condition that affects many women regardless of fitness level. At Miami Skin Spa, we address cellulite with a combination of advanced technologies: Emsculpt Neo and TruSculpt reduce underlying fat and build muscle tone, while Cellutone® uses therapeutic vibrations to break down cellulite and stimulate collagen production for smoother skin. Each treatment plan is customized to your body and goals.

Cellulite is a familiar concern for many people — between 80–90% of women have cellulite somewhere on their bodies, while only about 10% of men do. It forms when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin, creating that dimpled, uneven texture most often seen on the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and upper arms. It is a common condition that affects many women, even those who are fit and healthy.
Cellulite often appears in the thighs and buttocks of women because of several factors. Hormonal fluctuations related to a woman's menstrual cycle affect circulation and lymph flow, and women have three layers of fat (instead of the one layer found in men's bodies) in the buttocks, thighs, knees, stomach, and tricep area. Diet and exercise alone often cannot improve the appearance of cellulite, which is why our team at Miami Skin Spa offers a curated set of advanced, non-invasive treatments designed to address the underlying structures responsible for dimpling.
Our cellulite reduction toolkit includes Emsculpt Neo, TruSculpt iD, and Cellutone — and for deeper, fixed dimples on the thighs and buttocks, we also offer the FDA-approved injectable QWO. Each technology targets cellulite from a different angle, and we frequently combine them in customized plans for smoother, firmer skin without surgery or downtime.
Cellutone is a non-invasive technology that uses targeted acoustic wave therapy and therapeutic vibrations to reduce cellulite, break down fat, and stimulate collagen production. By stimulating natural processes in the deeper layers of the skin, Cellutone improves skin texture and smooths contours effectively — leaving the skin firmer and more rejuvenated.
Cellutone is versatile and effective for a variety of areas, including:
Each session is customized to meet your specific goals, whether you want to reduce cellulite, tighten skin, or enhance overall body contours.
We combine state-of-the-art technology with expert care to deliver a personalized treatment experience:
Cellutone treatments offer an easy and comfortable recovery process:
Our Cellutone treatments are ideal for individuals who:
For optimal results, most clients require 4–6 sessions, with longer treatment plans of 8–12 sessions for more pronounced cellulite. Side effects are minimal, with mild redness being the most common, which usually resolves within a few hours.
For deeper, fixed dimples on the thighs and buttocks — the kind of cellulite that has historically been impossible to remove without surgery — our team uses QWO, the first and only FDA-approved injectable cellulite treatment.
Cellulite forms due to three factors:
QWO works by breaking down the build-up of collagen in the fibrous bands beneath the surface of the skin. At the same time, QWO creates new collagen and redistributes fat cells from the thighs and buttocks. The result is smoother, younger-looking skin within three months of treatment.
In the past, treatments for deep-seated cellulite like that often found in the buttocks and thighs involved invasive procedures to release the tension in the fibrous bands beneath the surface of the skin. Laser therapy is also used for less severe cellulite. QWO is the first injectable treatment specifically formulated for deep dimples — previously impossible to remove without surgery.
Both surgical and laser cellulite treatments focus on breaking up the tough bands beneath the skin that cause cellulite to appear. QWO also targets the fibrous bands — using specific enzymes to disrupt and release them. QWO's formula includes two enzymes that degrade collagen molecules. When injected into the skin beneath a cellulite dimple, QWO begins to degrade the collagen-rich fibers that cause cellulite to form. It also stimulates the production of new collagen, further smoothing and improving the appearance of the skin.
QWO is intended for use on the deep dimples found in the thighs and buttocks. The injectable enzymes flatten out the tight fibers in areas where the dimple marks are deepest. QWO is not meant to be used on the stomach or arms — for cellulite in those areas, our team recommends Cellutone, Emsculpt Neo, or TruSculpt iD instead.
Anyone — man or woman — with deep cellulite in their thighs or buttocks is a candidate for QWO cellulite removal.
You are not eligible for QWO if you:
You should also alert your provider about any medications that might interfere with your QWO procedure including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Any medicine that interferes with blood clotting (including antiplatelet or anticoagulants) might prevent you from receiving QWO injections.
QWO injectable cellulite treatment typically results in injection site bruising that lasts between one and two weeks after the first treatment. Mild to moderate soreness, swelling, and pain are also common but are easily alleviated with Tylenol or ibuprofen. Other side effects might include areas of hardness, itching, redness, and discoloration.
If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction including hives, trouble breathing, low blood pressure, swollen face, chest pain, dizziness, or fainting — contact your doctor straight away.
Most patients are able to continue their lives as normal the day after being treated with QWO at Miami Skin Spa. You should feel free to go to the gym and work as usual without any downtime.
QWO cellulite treatment bruising is to be expected the week or two following your treatment. You should start to see the results of your injections as early as three weeks after your procedure, and the appearance will continue to improve over time.
Many patients need more than one treatment cycle of QWO. You are allowed up to three treatments, spaced 3 weeks apart. Some trials have shown QWO to be effective for one to two years; others have shown a permanent reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the thighs and buttocks. Results will vary depending on your specific skin type, weight, and severity of your cellulite.
The QWO cellulite treatment cost will depend on the severity of your cellulite. Each treatment costs between $500 and $1,200. Moderate cases might require two or three rounds of QWO injectable cellulite treatment for optimal results. At most, the QWO cellulite treatment price is about $3,600. Because cellulite varies so much from person to person — in depth, distribution, and underlying cause — there is no one-size-fits-all answer. During your consultation, our team evaluates the severity and location of your cellulite, your goals, and your lifestyle to recommend the right combination of technologies. Some clients see the best outcome from a series of Cellutone sessions; others benefit from layering Emsculpt Neo or TruSculpt iD to address underlying fat and muscle tone; and patients with deep, stubborn dimples on the thighs and buttocks may be candidates for QWO injections.
Whichever path is right for you, our goal is the same: smoother, firmer skin and the confidence to flaunt it — without surgery and without significant downtime.
Miami Skin Spa uses cutting-edge skin rejuvenation and body contouring technology to give you natural-looking results. Our cellulite treatments can help reduce the appearance of cellulite on your buttocks, thighs, abdomen, and arms, easing self-consciousness about your body and improving your overall confidence. Call our Brickell office to talk with our expert providers, who will help create a treatment package that is right for you.
Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation to discuss your goals and evaluate your skin and body type. Using the latest technologies like Emsculpt Neo, TruSculpt, or Cellutone®, our experts apply targeted energy to break down fat cells and tighten the skin. Each session typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes. Cellutone® treatments are non-invasive, with 8–12 sessions recommended for optimal results.
No downtime — return to your daily routine immediately after each session. Any mild redness or tenderness subsides within a few hours. Most clients notice smoother skin after the first session, with gradual improvement continuing over time as the body processes and eliminates treated fat cells. Results can last several months to years with a healthy lifestyle.
