Most patients compare it to a rubber band snapping against the skin. It is generally less painful than getting the tattoo itself. We offer topical numbing cream for sensitive areas.
Black, navy, and dark brown clear fastest. Red, orange, and dark green are moderate. Bright green, teal, yellow, white, and light blue are most difficult — they can be dramatically lightened but may not fully disappear.
Yes. Our picosecond platform lets us use conservative settings that are safe on every Fitzpatrick skin type. Darker skin often clears more slowly to protect from hypopigmentation, but the result is the same.
The same day. Avoid sun on the treated area for 2 weeks, skip the pool/sauna until fully healed, and follow the aftercare instructions we provide. Most patients are back at work the next morning.
