Practice Policies — Miami Skin Spa Brickell

At Miami Skin Spa, our mission is to provide exceptional medical aesthetic and wellness care in a safe, comfortable, and professional environment. The following policies are designed to ensure quality patient care, efficient scheduling, and fairness to all patients.

By scheduling an appointment, purchasing products or services, or receiving treatment at Miami Skin Spa, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these policies.

Consultations

Consultations are the first step in developing your personalized treatment plan. During your visit, one of our experienced providers will evaluate your concerns, discuss your goals, review treatment options, and answer any questions you may have.

A valid credit card is required to secure all consultation appointments.

Appointment Arrival

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. New patients should arrive 15 minutes early if intake forms have not been completed in advance.

Patients arriving 15 minutes or more late may have their treatment shortened or may need to be rescheduled. Appointment fees may still apply.

While we will always do our best to accommodate late arrivals, we cannot guarantee the full treatment time if your appointment begins late.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

To respect the time of our providers and other patients, we require 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

The following fees apply:

Less than 48 hours' notice: $150 cancellation fee
No-show appointment: $150 no-show fee

Cancellation and no-show fees will be charged to the credit card on file.

Patients with 3 no-shows within a 12-month period may be dismissed from the practice.

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Personal checks are not accepted. A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments. More detail on our financing and payment plans.

Pricing

Prices, promotions, and package offerings are subject to change without notice.

Treatment recommendations and written price quotes remain valid for 60 days, unless otherwise specified.

Current pricing is always available through our office or on our price menu.

Refund Policy

Services

Because medical aesthetic treatments are individualized, all completed services are non-refundable.

Treatment outcomes vary from patient to patient, and no guarantees can be made regarding individual results.

Treatment Packages

Treatment packages are sold at discounted pricing and are non-refundable.

If a refund is approved due to a documented medical contraindication, severe allergic reaction, or other circumstance approved by Miami Skin Spa, completed treatments will be deducted at their regular individual treatment price rather than the discounted package rate. Any remaining eligible balance will then be refunded.

At the sole discretion of Miami Skin Spa, unused package value may be applied toward another medically appropriate treatment.

Retail Products

Unopened and unused retail products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or store credit. Opened products cannot be returned.

If a documented allergic reaction occurs, management may approve an exchange or store credit at its discretion.

Prescription products and compounded medications are non-returnable.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Promotions & Banked Services

Promotions, coupons, special pricing, and banked services are offered for a limited time and are subject to the following conditions:

Promotions expire on the advertised expiration date.
Promotional pricing cannot be combined with other offers unless specifically stated.
Promotional purchases are non-refundable.
Banked promotional services (including neurotoxins, fillers, or other eligible treatments) must be redeemed within the promotional period and cannot be extended unless approved by Miami Skin Spa.

Payment Plans

Flexible payment plans are available for select treatment packages.

Standard package payment options include:

Payment in full before treatment begins.
50% due at the first treatment and the remaining balance due at the second treatment.

All package balances must be paid in full before the final treatment is performed.

Miami Skin Spa reserves the right to suspend future appointments until outstanding balances have been satisfied.

Provider Assignment

Miami Skin Spa reserves the right to substitute your scheduled provider due to scheduling changes, illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. Whenever possible, patients will be notified in advance.

All providers are licensed medical professionals who follow the same clinical standards and treatment protocols. Meet the team.

Medical Disclosure

Patient safety is our highest priority.

Patients are responsible for providing complete and accurate medical information before every visit, including:

Medical history
Current medications
Supplements
Allergies
Pregnancy or breastfeeding status
Recent surgeries
Recent cosmetic procedures

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may increase treatment risks and may result in postponement or refusal of treatment. Certain treatments may require medical clearance before services can be performed.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Many aesthetic and wellness treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Patients should notify their provider if they are pregnant, become pregnant, or are actively breastfeeding prior to treatment.

Clinical Photography

Clinical photographs may be required before and after treatment to document medical progress and evaluate treatment outcomes.

These photographs become part of your confidential medical record and will never be used for marketing or educational purposes without your separate written authorization.

Results

Individual results vary.

Although our providers strive to achieve the best possible outcome, no medical or cosmetic procedure can guarantee a specific result. Additional treatments may be recommended to achieve your desired outcome.

Pre- and Post-Treatment Instructions

Patients are responsible for following all pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions provided by their provider.

Failure to follow these instructions may affect healing, increase complications, or reduce treatment effectiveness.

Neurotoxin Follow-Up Policy

Botox®, Dysport®, or Xeomin® patients are eligible for one complimentary follow-up evaluation approximately 14 days after treatment.

Any adjustment deemed medically appropriate must be completed within 21 days of the original appointment.

Additional units beyond the provider's recommended adjustment will be charged at the current per-unit rate.

Children, Pets & Guests

To maintain a safe, relaxing, and professional environment, we kindly ask that children, pets, and unnecessary guests do not accompany you to your appointment.

Children may not be left unattended in the reception area or treatment rooms.

If childcare is unavailable, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and applicable cancellation fees may apply.

Age Requirement

Patients must be 18 years of age or older to receive injectable treatments, laser procedures, tattoo removal, body contouring, or other medical aesthetic services.

Patients under 18 may receive select treatments only with written parental consent and the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

HIPAA & Privacy

Miami Skin Spa complies with all applicable federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA.

Patient health information is used only for treatment, payment, healthcare operations, or as otherwise permitted by law. Patients may request access to their medical records in accordance with applicable regulations.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency during treatment, Miami Skin Spa may contact emergency medical services and take reasonable steps necessary to protect the health and safety of the patient.

Right to Refuse Treatment

Miami Skin Spa reserves the right to postpone or refuse treatment when, in the professional judgment of our providers, treatment is not medically appropriate or may compromise patient safety. This includes, but is not limited to:

Medical contraindications
Unrealistic treatment expectations
Requests likely to produce unnatural results
Failure to follow medical recommendations
Active infection or illness
Intoxication or impairment
Abusive, threatening, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior toward staff or other patients
Refusal to complete required medical documentation or consent forms

Our providers are committed to recommending treatments that are safe, ethical, and in the patient's best interest.

Inclement Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances

Miami Skin Spa reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, provider illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding should these situations arise.
