Inside our Brickell IV suite
An IV spa session here looks less like urgent care and more like a recovery lounge: a comfortable chair, a medical professional, and 30 minutes to yourself. See more patient outcomes in our results gallery.

What an IV session looks like
Everything you'd ask at the consult
Direct delivery into the bloodstream
IV therapy — also known as intravenous therapy — administers fluids, medications, or nutrients directly into your bloodstream through a vein. A small plastic tube, called a catheter, is placed in a vein in your arm or hand and attached to a bag holding your custom cocktail, elevated above heart level so a gentle pressure gradient carries the IV fluids into your circulation.
Because the infusion bypasses the digestive system, nutrients arrive with essentially complete (100%) bioavailability — higher blood levels, faster, than the same vitamins taken by mouth. That direct route is the point of vitamin IV therapy.
What IV therapy is used for
- Rehydration — IV fluids replace what's lost to heat, exercise, travel, illness, or a long Miami night out.
- Nutritional support — vitamins, minerals, and amino acids delivered directly to your body's cells.
- Medication administration — in clinical settings IV access also delivers medications and blood transfusions; at our med spa, prescription add-ons are physician-approved and used only where appropriate.
Your infusion runs about 30 minutes in our comfortable Brickell treatment suite, administered by trained medical staff — or start with a wellness discovery consultation for a root-cause workup first.
Hydration & energy
The most common reason patients book IV hydration in Miami is the simplest: dehydration and low energy. A drip restores fluids and electrolytes in one ~30-minute session, with B vitamins for an energy assist — after travel, heat, hard training, or illness.
Hangovers, immunity & migraines
The Hangover Healer is built to help you bounce back from a hangover — a Miami favorite before and after a night out. The Immunity Boost supports your immune system when you feel run down or are recovering from illness. And the Migraine & Pain Relief drip is formulated to help ease migraine and pain symptoms — magnesium in particular has published evidence in migraine care.
Stress, beauty & performance
Rounding out the menu: Stress Relief for calm, Beauty Boost for hair, skin, and nails — popular with anyone chasing a brighter, glowing complexion — and Performance & Recovery for athletes. Patients on GLP-1 medication, often eating far less than usual, use drips for hydration and nutrient support — the same patients we counsel on Ozempic face and loose skin after weight loss.
Treatment goals we support: dehydration & hydration, hangover recovery, migraines & pain relief, low immunity & illness recovery, low energy & fatigue, stress relief, beauty & skin health, and athletic performance & recovery.

How group events work
- Request & confirm — online form or concierge desk; secure with one host invoice or individual pay links (all services prepaid before event day).
- Prepare — final guest list due 72 hrs prior; intake forms due 48 hrs prior. Every treatment is reviewed and signed off by our Medical Director.
- Event day — we arrive early, set up, check vitals, take consents, and run IVs and boosters; guests receive post-care and the host a thank-you package.
Nutrient injection therapy — the 5-minute option
Not every visit needs a full drip. Nutrient injection therapy delivers a concentrated dose intramuscularly in minutes — no bag, no chair time — the maintenance layer many regulars use between IV sessions.
- B12 Booster — vitamin B12 for energy support, especially if your levels run low.
- Lipo C / MIC B12 + carnitine — the injection component of Fat Burner +, often paired with supervised medical weight loss.
- Glutathione Booster — the antioxidant add-on from our Stress Relief drip and group-event menu.
Shots vs drips: an injection is faster and cheaper; a drip adds fluids and larger doses.
Medical oversight, not a pop-up drip stand
Every IV at Miami Skin Spa is administered by trained medical staff with Medical Director oversight — meet the team. Before your first drip we review your health history, medications, and goals.
What we screen for
- Kidney disease and congestive heart failure — extra caution with fluid and electrolyte loads.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding — some ingredients and medications are deferred.
- Medication interactions — prescription add-ons like ketorolac aren't for everyone.
- G6PD deficiency before high-dose vitamin C or glutathione.
What to expect, honestly
Side effects are usually minor: mild soreness or bruising at the injection site, a cool feeling along the arm, or a vitamin taste. One calibration note: outside rehydration and documented deficiency, published evidence for IV vitamin therapy in healthy adults is still developing. We'll tell you what a drip can realistically do — and when a different plan, like hormone replacement therapy, addresses the real cause of your fatigue.
Right after your drip
No downtime is required — return to normal activities right away. Keep the small bandage on for about an hour; a cool compress settles any tenderness.
Getting the most from it
- Keep drinking water — a drip jump-starts hydration; it doesn't replace it.
- Note how you feel over the next 24–48 hours; it helps us tune your next cocktail.
- For ongoing goals, a weekly, biweekly, or monthly cadence beats one-offs.
Many patients pair a drip with a HydraFacial — hydrating skin from the outside while the IV works from the inside.
Not sure which IV infusion cocktail is right for you? Bring the goal, not the menu. Our team will help you select the cocktail — or group package — that fits, or tell you when a consultation is the smarter first step.
IV drips vs the alternatives
All four get nutrients into your body — the difference is route, dose, and speed. We'll tell you when the supplement aisle honestly covers it.
| Option | How it's delivered | Best for | Time | Fluids included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IV infusion therapy | Drip into a vein — fluids + nutrients, complete bioavailability | Dehydration, hangover recovery, higher-dose vitamins | ~30 min | Yes — up to 1000cc |
| B12 & nutrient injections | Quick intramuscular shot — no line, no chair time | Maintenance between drips, B12, Lipo C programs | ~5 min | No |
| Oral supplements | Absorbed through the digestive tract; slower blood levels | Daily maintenance with normal digestion | Daily habit | No |
| Oral hydration & electrolytes | Fluids by mouth — effective when you can keep them down | Mild dehydration, everyday training and heat | Hours | Yes — slowly |

Administered by trained medical staff with physician oversight, IV vitamin therapy is generally well tolerated. We screen every guest — kidney disease, congestive heart failure, pregnancy, and certain medications call for extra caution, which is why every infusion is signed off by our Medical Director.
An IV drip infuses fluids plus nutrients over about 30 minutes; a nutrient injection — like a B12 shot or Lipo C — is a quick intramuscular boost without fluids. Nutrient injection therapy works well for maintenance between drips.
We are a physician-led med spa with a dedicated IV suite rather than a walk-in IV bar. You get the relaxed, lounge-style experience of an IV bar in Miami — plus medical screening, licensed clinicians placing every line, and Medical Director sign-off on every cocktail.
